thinking it through . . .

Contemplative . . .

So many times in our lives we think that our "little worlds" will never change.  The way things are will always be "the ways things are."  Sure, children grow up, the living room gets a new facelift, and the way we perceive something takes on a new perspective.  But, the way we live and the circumstances we are in, seems to stay mostly the same.

I, and we as a family, are currently NOT in one of those places in our lives.  The past few months has beckoned a new way of relating to one another.  This past time together has afforded a doorway for each of us in the family to walk through and make decisions on what we value, what we hope for, and what we stand for.  It is definitley a time of HUGE change.  A contemplative time to stay focused on God's plan for our lives.  A decision making time that will alter our lives together, forever.  May God be glorified and honored in our words and our actions.

Wow... This seems pretty serious! I hope everything is ok! What is going on?
I hope a new post is soon to follow with more details and clarification!

I'm with Jenni - I'd love more details. Hoping and praying you clearly see and feel God's grace during this season....

Jenni, Laura . . . It is pretty serious. In fact, very serious.
:(

However, I am hoping that in spite of the circumstances, that God is honored and we are changed more to His likeness.

We are all safe (no one is dying) and I am sure I will be able to update a post that sheds a little more light on our situation.

I'm praying for you. This current season of our lives is good, but so very different than what I had imagined. Only God really knows our steps and the way we take. Our lives are his, not our own. I've found this to be extremely beneficial when facing inexplicably painful and confusing times. His grace has been, is, and always be sufficient for each of us who place our trust completely in him.

It has been 5 days since you posted this... has anything happened? Any changes or decisions made? Or any further details?

I'll be praying

Lucy . . . I am afraid that more has happened, and more of no good. :(

It certainly is not promising information, and it has a real "bummer" flavor. And I hate being the bearer of bad news. :(

As David starts out in almost all of his writings, he is woeing his life and circumstances, and ends up focusing on the greatness of God. I am reminding myself of God's love for me from His word, and have been encouraging the children to "let go" and allow God to intervene and work His will. And with that, I am sure that He WILL cause all things to work for the good for ALL of us.

Well since all your news is bad and your are our only connection to your family... it appears you will have to be the bearer of the bad news. We being humans are curious.
